Description
Materials:
– 100% PURE SPHAGNUM MOSS
- Sphagnum moss is the superior substrate when it comes to moss poles due to it’s ability to stay moist for long periods of time. No coir and no green moss is added or mixed in.
– CLEAR BIOPLASTIC BACKING
- The plastic backing helps to retain moisture, keeping the roots damp and growing steadily.
- The plastic used is both biodegradable, recyclable and food safe.
– PLASTIC MESH
- The plastic mesh allows easy adjustment and dissasembly when propagating without the use of wire cutters.
Set-Up Instructions:
If you are repotting to add the pole (recommended):
- Add a tiny bit of your potting medium to the bottom of your pot.
- Remove some of the moss from the bottom of the pole and while holding the pole horizontally, fill it with some of your potting medium. Then, carefully tip the pole vertically into the pot. If it is a semi-hydro set up, I recommend placing the pole into the pot, and then adding the substrate.
- Use the clips provided to attach the plant to the pole with the aerisl roots or nodes (little bumps) facing the pole, and the leaves facing towards you.
If you are not repotting and simply want to stake the pole into an existing pot:
- Remove some moss to the depth you wish the pole will be buried.
- Cut the inside pieces of the mesh so you are left with just plastic backing and strips of mesh on either side.
- Slide the pole into the substrate.
